Applications and domain-specific languages
The prototype version of GENETICA’s programming environment has been tested in both small scale and large scale applications. Small scale applications concern individual problems while large scale applications concern the development of domain specific languages and include applications developed in these languages.
The large scale application presented here is the language G‑CAD, which has been developed in GENETICA. G‑CAD (which stands for GENETICA‑CAD) is specialized in problem solving within the domain of architectural design. A G‑CAD application concerning the design of a hotel floorplan is also presented.
